Victor Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen is being considered by AC Milan as a possible summer addition. The Rossoneri are searching for a new striker since Olivier Giroud is expected to join LAFC when his contract expires in June.
Milan’s preferred pick is still Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna, although the club is looking at other options due to his high price. Bologna may seek €75 million for Zirkzee’s services, according to reports.
If the talks to sign Zirkzee don’t work out, Corriere dello Sport says Milan should turn to Boniface as a backup. Despite a recent three-month injury setback, the 23-year-old attacker, who is valued between €40 and €50 million, has shown his brilliance in 25 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 16 goals and dishing out nine assists.
