Finidi George, the Super Eagles’ head coach, would receive N15 million every month.
On Monday, Finidi was formally presented to the media in the Moshood Abiola Stadium Conference Room in Abuja.
Owan Enoh, the Minister of Sports, declined to disclose his expected salary.
“I am not too concerned about making even more money than (predecessor Jose) Peseiro since what I am currently making is sufficient for me. Money will arrive as soon as I bring value to what I’m here to achieve, Finidi assured.
Nonetheless, ACLSports claims that the 53-year-old will receive N15 million, making him the highest-paid native coach in Nigerian history.
However, the only benefits available to his five helpers will be allowances and other bonuses.
Friday, June 7, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, the Super Eagles will play a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa, with Finidi on the field for the first time in a significant role.
Three days later, the Super Eagles will play Benin Republic in Abidjan.
