The popular street singer and songwriter, Habib Okikiola famously known as Portable challenged the Nigeria Police telling them that he is a government liability and he worked for the All Progressive Congress (APC). He said that he is a superstar and why would they come to his office to arrest him instead of asking him to come to the station or send for his manager. It was reported that Nigeria Police wanted to arrest the famous singer, portable at his bar in Sango-Ota, Ogun State.
According to the viral video of the incident, Portable was seen declaring himself as a government liability and a superstar at the same time. Saying that why would they be telling a superstar that he is under arrest in his office instead of the Nigeria police should call him or his manager, he would have come to their office. He insisted that he is government property and he works for APC, Akoi of Tinubu and they are the ones that own the country.
“You dey tell superstar to say ‘you are under arrest’. In my office? You are telling me you are under arrest for what? Why why? Did I know you? No, don’t tell me this one I’m doing will not help me. I’m a superstar. I’m a celebrity. Show me your ID cards, everybody. Show me your ID card oga….I’m a federal government liability. I work for APC. Akoi Tinubu. We own Nigeria”.
