The manager of Bayer Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso, has reaffirmed his dedication to the team for the forthcoming year.
Alonso has chosen to stick with his current position with the Bundesliga leaders despite attention from illustrious teams like Bayern Munich and Liverpool, who are both going through managerial changes following the departures of Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp, respectively.
“This season has been marked by numerous discussions about my next steps,” Alonso said in response to the rumors that have been circulating about his future. During the international break, I managed to find some time for reflection within our hectic schedule. After a fruitful conversation with Fernando Carro and Simon Rolfes last week, I announced my intention to keep managing Bayer Leverkusen.”
He highlighted the significance of making thoughtful choices by saying, “Cautionary examination is necessary for every choice. I try to create choices that logically flow with how I’m developing as a coach. I am convinced that Bayer Leverkusen offers the best atmosphere for my growth at this point. Despite my youth as a coach, I am certain that this is the right career route for me.”
