Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has asked Christians to pray for President Ahmed Tinubu and Nigeria so that he may be strengthened to keep his word to the people.
The statement was made by Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, at a Thanksgiving church service held at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Rumuigbo, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, yesterday in honor of Tony Okocha, the acting state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Okocha, who holds two posts and is the state’s representative on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), was commemorating both his wife’s birthday and his double honor.
Wike requested that the nation, President Tinubu, and the Church be in their prayers.
“My Lord Bishop, let me express my gratitude for giving up your time to lead this service of thanksgiving in honor of our brother, who has been blessed by God in many ways, and to his wife, who has been blessed with an extra year of life today,” he said.
“I would also like to ask you to pray for Mr. President and Nigeria so that he keeps all of his promises.”
