Nigeria saw a minor loss in the most current FIFA men’s rating, which was revealed on Thursday morning, falling two spots on the list.
The Super Eagles, who were ranked 28th earlier, are currently in 30th place.
The three-time African champions played a string of amicable matches during the past month. The team defeated archrival Ghana 2-1 thanks to the leadership of current coach Finidi George. They suffered a setback, though, losing to Mali’s Eagles 2-0.
Nigeria is still ranked third in Africa despite this decline, behind Senegal’s Terangha Lions and Morocco’s Atlas Lions.
The Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire and the Pharaohs of Egypt round out the top five African teams.
Argentina, the current world champions, are still atop the FIFA rankings on a worldwide scale.
