Nigerian disc jockey and producer DJ Cuppy recently took to Twitter to share a thought about her public persona.
“I’m classy but deep down SOMETIMES I wanna take pics like Davido with money to my ear,” she tweeted.
The tweet quickly went viral, with many fans weighing in on whether or not Cuppy was trying to call Davido classless. Some fans interpreted the tweet as a joke, while others saw it as a sign of dissension between the two artists.
Davido’s fans, known as the 30BG gang, were particularly vocal in their reactions to the tweet. Many of them accused Cuppy of being jealous of Davido’s success and of trying to tear him down.
Cuppy has not responded to the backlash from Davido’s fans. However, she did retweet a message from a fan who defended her, saying that she was simply being “self-deprecating.”
It is unclear whether or not Cuppy is actually beefing with Davido. However, her tweet has certainly sparked a lot of discussion about the two artists and their respective public personas.
