Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has predicted the outcome of the upcoming Champions League clash between Manchester City and Real Madrid.
The former England international believed that the Citizens would blow away Real Madrid in the coming semi-final.
The Premier League giants will lock horns with their La Liga opponents in the first leg of the knockout clash at the Bernabeu Stadium on Tuesday, May 9.
In his column for The Times, the former Manchester United goal machine said that City are playing on a different level.
“Manchester City will not just beat Real Madrid in their Champions League semi-final —they’ll blow them away,” he wrote.
“Of course, I may be wrong. There is no side better at disproving arguments against them than Carlo Ancelotti’s Madrid in the Champions League. But I just think City are so good that they’re on another level.”
