Manchester City forward, Jack Grealish has admitted it was difficult for him to face Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal during their Champions League semi-final first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night,
Grealish said he was warned about the right-back before the game, adding that tiredness and cramps took the better of him after the game.
Vinicius Junior put the Spanish side ahead in the first half before Kevin De Bruyne scored for the visitors to ensure it ended 1-1 in Spain.
The second leg of the game comes up in the next seven days but this time, at the Etihad, Manchester.
“Playing against [Dani] Carvajal, I can’t count the number of people who told me before that you don’t know what it’s going to be like,” Grealish told reporters after the game.
“Good battle, I really enjoyed it. I am tired. I’ve never had cramps before but I had it with both calves.”
