Golden Eaglets defender Emmanuel Michael claimed the players are charged up and ready for what will be a difficult West African derby against Burkina Faso on Thursday.
The Eaglets and Junior Stallions will clash again nearly one year after the former won their WAFU B Championship final 2-1.
Burkina Faso gave the Nigerian boys a tough fight in the encounter.
The quarterfinal fixture is expected to be more intense, with a place at the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup up for grabs.
Michael, however, stated that the Eaglets are well prepared for the game and will give their best.
“We have prepared well for this match, and we are ready for the tie. We want to give our best as a good result will qualify us for the World Cup, and this is our ambition,” the centre-back said during his interaction with the media on Wednesday.
The game will kick off at 8 pm Nigerian time.
