Golden Eaglets head coach, Nduka Ugbade has revealed that converting their chances played a key role in the side’s 3-2 victory against South Africa on Saturday night.
The Nigerian boys were wasteful in their two previous games against Zambia and Morocco.
The Eaglets were however at their best against the South Africans scoring three good goals.
Nduka said they worked hard in training to correct all their mistakes from previous games.
“We worked a bit in training and we did some corrections. We realized that it was purely psychological and we talked to the players and we saw an improvement today.
“We might have conceded two but I am glad we scored three,” the tactician told a post match press conference.
The two-time champions will face either the defending champions Cameroon or Burkina Faso in the quarter-finals.
