In a stunning declaration, Fury stated that Usyk’s country is at war, which is why he was only given the split decision victory.
Usyk prevailed in the fight with scores of 115-113 and 114-113 from two judges, while Fury prevailed 114-113 according to the third judge.
The heavyweight titans engaged in a thrilling battle, with Fury appearing to have the upper hand in the early going before Usyk rallied late in the contest.
Following the fight, Fury declared that he had prevailed, saying that Usyk had only won a few of the rounds.
Usyk threw 482 punches compared to Fury’s 567, however Usyk was much more accurate in landing his blows.
Usyk would land 185 punches to Fury’s 135 while both fighters would hit their opponent in the head with 95 shots apiece.
