Well-known musician Ric Hassani, real name Ikechukwu Eric Ahiauzu, responds to a troll’s assertion that he “fell off” the music game.
There was a little back-and-forth between the troll and the musician, who claimed to be old fans.
The singer of “Thunder Fire You” was informed on Twitter by the troll @whizzylad_ayo that he had fallen off.
In response, Ric Hassani told the troll that it didn’t bother him.
The troll reiterated his previous statement, saying he used to adore the songs he sung with Tjan and Johnny Drille and that he was disappointed that their career had ended too soon. He pointed out Ric Hassani’s collapse once more.
At this point, Ric Hassani questioned the troll—whom he addressed as his “son”—about his occupation and whether or not he was enrolled in school.
Read the exchange between them below:
@whyizzylad_ayo, the troll, remarked, “You fell off, bro.”
“I don’t mind bro,” was @RicHassani’s response.
“I’m really pained you did cuz I like the piece you, Johnny Drille, and Tjan dropped that year; thought you guys would do more,” stated @whizzylad_ayo. You slipped and tumbled into my hand, bro.
In response, @RicHassani said, “Son, what do you do? Are you enrolled in school or what?
“I’m sch and I’m kind of into music too, bruh, but not your type of music, I’m interested in afrobeat,” remarked @whizzylad_ayo. I can also be added by you.
In response, @RicHassani shot back, saying, “I developed a career, a record label, and a handful of businesses that I still own today. I graduated from university when I was 20, had a master’s degree at 22, and a PhD scholarship at 23.
