Nollywood actress Susan Pwajok described the terrifying experience of being present during Boko Haram’s raid on her family’s home in Jos, Plateau State. She described how they just missed the devastation.
Susan said that the attackers destroyed her grandfather’s cars and all of their possessions in an episode of her podcast “Surviving Lagos,” which she co-hosted with her mother Carol Pwajok.
“I was in Jos when Boko Haram attacked our home,” she recalled. While we were inside, they completely destroyed it. While my mother was in Lagos, I was there with my cousins.”
“After seeing our house burn to the ground, my grandparents, my two cousins, and I crawled to the garden in search of safety. They destroyed everything we owned, including my grandfather’s Benz and Hilux.
Witnessing your entire existence disintegrate in front of your eyes is unfathomable. That was my childhood residence. We were forced to start over from scratch.
