During the groundbreaking ceremony for the 84-kilometer, N169.7 billion Bida-Minna Road in the Kakakpagi, Katch Local Government Area of Niger State, the President delivered a speech.
Tinubu, flanked by Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, pledged that the federal government would keep working with states that help their citizens thrive.
“There must be friendly relationships for governments at all levels to grow,” he stated. In order to guarantee that Niger experiences the intended prosperity, the Federal Government will assist it. Under my leadership, Nigeria’s food production will be self-sufficient.
“Building roads will save lives and open doors for more economic growth.”
Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe and head of the Niger State Council of Traditional Authorities, was praised by the president for maintaining peace in his area.
“I am a son of Niger and I am a traditional title holder of Jagaba Borgu since approximately 20 years ago. I will be part of anything that will bring development to the people of the state,” stated Tinubu.
Governor Umaru Bago stated in his speech that the building of the Bida-Minna Road was a fulfillment of a pledge.
This groundbreaking event signifies the start of the building of the 84 km standard dual-carriageway with streetlights, an interchange, and an underpass at both ends of the road—a commitment fulfilled—as encapsulated in our agreement with Nigerlites under the New Niger Agenda.
