On Monday, March 13, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) started its second leg of its meeting. President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima were present.
The meeting on Tuesday got underway at the State House’s Council Chamber at about noon.
On Monday, the council had reviewed a minimum of thirty-two memoranda.
To enable the disclosure of additional “far-reaching” conclusions later today, the meeting was postponed until Tuesday.
“Today’s council meeting is not yet concluded,” declared Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, in his announcement of the delay. Tomorrow, the council meeting will resume.
There won’t be a press conference today as a result. Many important decisions are being made, and you will have access to the results tomorrow.
The President revealed that one of the decisions made on Monday was to require all government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to purchase solely compressed natural gas-powered cars and generators going ahead.
The Federal Government also anticipates that its MDAs will start converting all generators and cars with gasoline or diesel engines to compressed natural gas (CNG).
