Antonio Conceicao, Domenec Torrent, and Emmanuel Amuneke are thought to be the last three coaches on the shortlist to become the head coach of the Super Eagles.
The names submitted by the technical committee to the executive committee have been forwarded by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
According to the insider who spoke with Daily Post, “Torrent is the top choice among the foreign coaches, with Conceicao coming in second.”
Amuneke is the local coach with the best resume and experience. He is much ahead of his peers.
While some board members prefer a local boy, the majority of them are in favor of a foreign coach.
“Therefore, assuming all else is equal, one of these three men will be hired at the end of the day.”
Torrent previously served as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City, and Conceicao led the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Amuneke was formerly the national team’s coach in Tanzania and the U-17 squad of Nigeria.
