The late Nollywood actor John Okafor’s burial arrangements have been made public by his family.
A few months before to his death, Mr. Ibu had an amputation procedure because of an illness that was not made public.
However, the actor’s family has declared that Amuri, his hometown in the Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, will be his ultimate resting place.
Ibu’s brother, Elder Sunday Okafor, co-signed a statement expressing that the deceased would be given a hero’s burial.

“On June 28, 2024, we would be honored to have your distinguished presence as we lay to rest our son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and in-law.
The statement said, “Kindly join us as we share the best and last moments with our icon.”
The funeral program lists a number of activities starting with a well-known novelty match on Tuesday, June 25. On Wednesday, June 26th, there will be a candlelight procession and live entertainment for “Mr. Ibu’s Night.”
At his compound in Eziokwe Amuri, Nkanu West, a Christian wake will be held on June 27. The funeral service will take place on June 28.
Sunday, June 30, marks the conclusion of the five-day celebration with a church Thanksgiving meal attended by family, friends, and well-wishers.
