The official cause of O.J. Simpson’s death was disclosed two weeks after his passing.
According to TMZ, Simpson’s lawyer Malcolm LaVergne stated that the 76-year-old man passed away from prostate cancer.
The death certificate for Simpson is with LaVergne.
Simpson announced that he was battling cancer about a year ago, but he did not specify the type of illness he was facing.
According to LaVergne, Simpson was cremated at Palm Mortuary in Las Vegas last week, as reported by the Associated Press.
LaVergne did not say who else was present, although she was present for the cremation.
“Extras” LaVergne provided some insight into O.J.’s last days during a recent interview with Billy Bush. He said, “His family was around, a bunch of his friends came to see him.” He had a fatherhood. He was a granddad. He was really content and happy with his life. We knew it was almost over.
“He was pretty much out of it for the last few days,” he clarified. People would stand him up if they spotted someone enter the room. He was unable to communicate in the same manner as you and I do. All he did was relax and watch TV, including his favorite shows. In the last few days, that was the main focus.
