Taylor Swift has admitted that she uses music as a ‘coping mechanism’, which then led to her making a massive promise to her loyal legion of fans.
The 33-year-old American songstress is currently wrapping up the South American leg of her Eras Tour.
Taylor is gearing up to perform her final string of shows in Los Angeles‘ SoFi stadium before taking a short break ahead of her Mexico City shows.
Last week at another of her LA shows, Taylor spoke of her songwriting process, which is something she is famed for around the globe.
Known for her catchy hits that touch on topics relating to love, loss and growing up, Taylor revealed how songwriting is a ‘coping mechanism’ for her.
‘I’ve been playing shows sort of as a coping mechanism my whole life, since I was about 12 years old. I go through this process where I feel things, I write a song about that thing, I show it to you and I go, ‘Do you like it? Did you ever feel this way too?” she asked the sold-out stadium.
She then added: ‘When you guys are at at a show, if you even nod your head or make eye contact with me or sing the words to a song during a show, that to me validates that emotion and makes me feel like I wasn’t alone in feeling it. It’s sort of my coping process in life — so all of a sudden that was gone.
‘I decided, in order to keep that connection going, if I couldn’t play live shows with you, I was going to make and release as many albums as humanly possible,’ she then promised the Swifties in the SoFi Stadium, as reported by Variety.

The truckers have all been responsible for hauling her stage, sets and performance equipment across America, and the ever-generous star wanted to repay their hard work and thank them for keeping her show on the road – literally!
There are said to be 50 truckers for the US leg of Taylor’s tour, which means that the singer is thought to have shelled out $5million on her trucking crew alone in the very generous appreciation payment.
