Singer Burna Boy Reacts to Performing at the 2023 NBA Halftime Show
Nigerian ace singer, songwriter, and performer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has spoken on how he felt performing at the 2023 NBA Halftime Show.
The NBA all-star game, which took place on February 20th, 2023, in Salt Lake City, Utah, was designed to see basketball superstars from both conferences, consisting of Team Lebron and Team Giannis, compete in an energetic match to raise funds for charity.
Away from sports, music was equally a highlight of the night, and Nigerian international superstars Burna Boy, Rema, and Tems took center stage in what was an Afrobeats-themed performance.
Introduced by Toronto Raptors’ Cameroonian star Pascal Siakam, Grammy award-winning Burna Boy kicked off the show with an absolutely thrilling performance of “Anybody” while being backed up by his ever-impressive Outsiders Band. The African Giant went on to perform “It’s Plenty” and “Ye” before ending with his globally known “Last Last.”
Speaking in an interview, the singer made it known that he had a dream as a child to play in the NBA; hence, being in that setup as an artiste is a great feeling, as he made it to the NBA either way.
