Tiwa Savage has reportedly submitted a formal complaint against the renowned musician Davido, citing menacing remarks he made regarding her friendship with Sophia Momodu.
As depicted in a circulating photo of the alleged petition filed by the singer through her legal representative, the letter, dated January 9th, discloses that Davido sent derogatory, malicious, and threatening messages to Tiwa Savage after she shared photos with Sophia Momodu, Davido’s baby mama.
Tiwa Savage asserts that Davido is displeased with her for maintaining a friendship with Sophia Momodu, with whom he has disagreements. In the letter addressed to the police, Tiwa Savage urges them to hold Davido accountable if any harm befalls her or her family members.
Excerpts from the petition include:
“Mr. David Adeleke sent messages to my manager, who’s also part of his management team, stating that I shouldn’t worry and should never say a word to him. He accused me of taunting him, using disrespectful, malicious, and derogatory language against me.”
“I responded to Mr. David Adeleke’s message, telling him not to reach out to me, especially as I feel I have been there for him and his daughter, Imade, particularly during the loss of his son.”
“The events of that day have led to a barrage of calls and messages, with mutual connections asking me what I did to Mr. David Adeleke, as he is upset that I chose to maintain a relationship with Imade’s mother, Sophia Momodu, whom he’s having issues with.”
“He has also warned our mutual connections to advise me to be cautious in Lagos, as he threatened physical harm. This appears to be a form of online and offline harassment, not just to me but also to members of my team.”
“These actions by Mr. David Adeleke are unethical and can be seen as a direct threat to my rights to life, privacy, and dignity, as guaranteed in Chapter 4 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).”
The complaint further references Section 24(2)(a) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) Act, 2015, and concludes with Tiwa Savage requesting the Nigerian Police Force to hold Mr. David Adeleke responsible in the event of any untoward or harmful incidents involving her or her family.
