Saudi Arabia and Nigeria will lock horns in International Friendly on Friday evening.
Nigeria’s men’s senior national team, known as the Super Eagles, is being coached by a Portuguese, Jose Peseiro, while the Saudi Arabians, nicknamed the Green Falcons, have a much more experienced Italian, Roberto Mancini, as their boss.
Here are just two facts about the two sides:
1. Both countries’ senior national teams will be meeting for only the second time.
The first time they met was also in a friendly game which was played in the Alpenstadion, Wattens in Austria.
That match was played in preparation for the 2010 World Cup hosted by South Africa. It was played on 25th May 2010
2. Nigeria’s current boss, Jose Peseiro, was the Saudi Arabian manager in their first meeting with Nigeria.
The game against Saudi Arabia would be followed by another international friendly between the three African characters and Mozambique.
