Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in the most recent election, visited the family of the late Nollywood actor Junior Pope to offer condolences.
The condolence register was also signed by the former governor of Anambra State.
On Saturday afternoon, Nollywood actor Kenneth Okonkwo, a former spokesperson for the Labour Party presidential campaign council posted photos and videos from the visit to his Instagram page.
He wrote the following as the caption for the images and videos: “HE Peter Obi stopped by John Paul Odonwodo Junior Pope’s home to offer his condolences to his family on the tragic and premature death of their child, brother, husband, and father. He comforted Jennifer, the widow, his mother, Mrs. Maria Odonwodo, and his kids.
The Anam River in Anambra State claimed the lives of Junior Pope and three other people on April 10, 2024, when they were returning from a filming site. This information was reported by Rawloaded.
On Friday, he was buried in Ukehe, the local government area of Nsukka in Enugu State.
