According to allegations of N6 billion fraud, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has detained six senior Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps members.
Ahmed Audi, the NSCDC Commandant General, gave the order for the officers to be turned over to the EFCC for questioning, and that is how the arrest came about.
The EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, had earlier written to the Commandant General of the NSCDC, asking for the officers who were implicated to be released so they could be questioned.
Rawloaded claims that the officers were then moved to the EFCC offices in Jabi, Abuja, where they are currently being interrogated.
“We currently have six senior NSCDC officers under our custody. Our investigators are questioning them about alleged fraudulent operations totaling more than N6 billion, a source told the magazine.
Nonetheless, NSCDC representative Babawale Afolabi has denied being aware of the investigation.
