The former player for Southampton and Leeds United, Carlton Palmer, has speculated that Wilfred Ndidi will depart Leicester City in the offseason.
Palmer says that Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Wolverhampton Wanderers are among the four Premier League teams that will intensify their efforts to sign the midfield player for free.
The former England player also revealed that Barcelona is interested in Ndidi.
The former England international told Football League World that “Premier League clubs are showing a great deal of interest in Wilfred Ndidi.”
“Among the interested parties are Wolves, Newcastle, Aston Villa, and Tottenham Hotspur. The summer is when Wilfred Ndidi’s contract expires,” he said.
He also out that Leicester might decide to trade Ndidi in the summer due to his high salary, which are thought to be over £75,000 a week.
He additionally stated, “There is rumored interest from overseas, including clubs like Barcelona.”
