Gov. Oyebanji inspects roads in Ado-Ekiti. Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, governor of Ikere Ekiti State, stated that his administration will continue to ensure that government projects adhere to high standards in order to provide Ekiti residents with value for their money.
This was made public by Gov. Oyebanji on Thursday in Ado Ekiti when he led state officials on an inspection of road projects in Ikere and Ado Ekiti.
Gov. Oyebanji claims that: Continuous monitoring of government projects to ensure standard compliance and value for money is a component of our strategy. I go out on my own from time to time to see what contractors are doing to ensure that Ekiti residents get the most for their money. As I used to say, “We are just custodians of the resources meant for the people of Ekiti, and the resources need to be used in a way that will serve the majority of Ekiti people’s interests; therefore, this will be a continuous exercise.”
He also said, ” I must commend all of the contractors working on our roads and the Ministry of Works, which oversees them, for what I have seen. I am impressed. I just hope they can continue this pace and move quickly before it rains.
During his conversation with the people who came out to see him at Ikere, the governor said that his administration would continue to carry out the promises it made during the campaign.
