Plateau University has suspended academic activities for 10 days following the killing of a second-year student, Dading Jordan, in a neighboring community. The university’s management made this decision to ensure the safety of staff and students.

According to Ayuba, the university had already announced a two-day period of mourning in the student’s honor.
“Management has made the difficult decision to close the University for 10 days, starting on Friday, April 19, in response to the tragic occurrence that happened at Plateau University, Bokkos, and the neighboring villages.
“The purpose of this decision is to lessen human danger to the university community and to allow the security situation to improve.
