The star football player for Newcastle, Bradman Best, recently found himself in an unpleasant situation on live television when he tried to kiss Millie Boyle following his team’s victory on Friday, April 5.
Best consented to an interview with NRLW player Millie Boyle after the victory. But Best reached over to grab Boyle’s waist and gave her a peck on the cheek during the interview. But Boyle took a subtle step back and told him to “Go put on a shirt and, uh, we’ll talk to someone else.” Congratulations for your victory.
It’s important to note that Boyle is wed to Adam Elliott, Best’s teammate who was also heavily involved in the game.
Boyle had welcomed Best with a friendly peck on the cheek prior to the embarrassing moment, and they had talked about the difficult weather before the game—heavy rain turning the field into more of a swimming pool than a football field.
“Have you ever played in conditions like that?” Boyle asked. Best answered, “I was just telling the boys I don’t think I’ve ever played in that kind of weather,” in response. Although it poured, I’m delighted we still won.”
Since getting married in October of last year, Boyle and Elliott have become known as the NRL’s power couple.
