Nigerian afrobeat singer, Davido Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has reacted to the heartfelt apology of famous Nigerian stand up comedian, Ayo Makun on social media.
Recall that there was a mass outrage on social media when a video emerged from Ayo Makun’s latest show in Warri, mocking Davido’s manhood which he claimed is smaller compared to his big one.
The comedian cum actor went to shade the singer on how he used his small manhood to birth babies with different mother, something he had been trying for 13 years with his larger own.
The insensitive joke got angry Nigerians ragging on the internet. They condemned the father of two for publicly disgracing his entertainment colleague.
Following this, Mabel Makun lamented the rate at how youths disregard the elders in Nigeria, a post shared on Instagram in support of her husband.
In a new turn, Ayo Makun carpeted his wife by apologizing to Davido for his bad joke which he blamed the blogs for misconstruction his words.
“I am so sorry for telling that joke the way it came out in Warri. I shouldn’t even call it a joke anymore . It wasn’t funny like it was during my tour of US and Canada, and you have every right to be angry after seeing how the blogs used it.
Please know that it is always a learning experience for all of us in the entertainment business. I deserve any backlash or negative thoughts coming my way for the joke that was badly delivered in Warri. So, no excuses at all, my Aburo. No reason am. I remain your number one fan, and I love you, @davido”
Davido who is unshaken by the viral clip told Ayo Makun not to bother. He wrote “Nothing spoil baba mi.”
Also, entertainment celebrities took to Ayo Makun’s timeline to comment his apology. Artistes like Iyabo Ojo, Carter Efe, etc .
