Regina Daniels, a popular Nollywood actress, has spoken out about the exploitation of young girls in the movie industry by producers. In a video posted on her Instagram page on Tuesday, she shared her experience on set with a 14-year-old makeup artist who had been working on various sets.
Regina expressed disappointment in her colleagues who had turned a blind eye to the exploitation of the young girl in the past, and pleaded with them to take a stand against child labour.
Regina rescued the young girl from child labour by enrolling her in a boarding school, where she passed her entrance exam with flying colours. The actress has pledged to fight against any movie producer who recruits young children for movie roles.
Regina also recalled how her mother, Rita Daniels, had protected her from being sexually exploited by movie producers during her early years in the industry.
