Faithia Zenabu Williams wedded Saidi (otherwise called Saheed Balogun in Lagos on September 7, 2000. Saheed Balogun already had 22 years of acting experience when he married Fathia, who had just started her career in Nollywood.
Saidi had proactively hitched Sherifat (Serifat) Balogun, and this was her subsequent marriage. Zinnat and Jamal, their two youngsters, were brought into the world to them. According to some reports, it wasn’t Fathia’s first marriage. Although the identity of her first husband is unknown, she did have a daughter with him.
For the first few years, the couple seemed content and at ease. On July 11, 2002, the couple’s first child, Khalid, was born. After being married for a number of years, on April 3, 2005, their daughter Aaliyah was born. Everything gave off an impression of being all together.
However, that was not the situation: In March of 2006, Saheed and Fathia abruptly split up.
No one realizes without a doubt what has been going on with this day. Some people believe that Fathia had an affair with Saheed, while others believe that it was the other way around. Some even go as far as to assert that they were once both unfaithful.
Yet, here’s the trick:
They split up in 2006, but it wasn’t until 2014 that they got divorced. For a really long time, the alienated couple was oftentimes in the information because of another conflict.
There were rumors that Saheed had a second wife, despite the fact that he was still married to his wife. It’s not really startling, however, on the grounds that Saheed is a Muslim. During the time between the split and the separation, numerous news sources expressed that Saidi was dating Funke Adesiyan and Funke Elegushi.
In 2014, another rumor circulated claiming that Fathia and Saheed were getting back together. Faithia did not dispute them, but she did say in one of her interviews that she was still technically Saidi’s wife. But Saheed came out and proved them wrong, putting an end to any chance of them meeting again.
Shortly thereafter, the divorce papers of the couple were distributed to the media. In April of 2013, it was discovered that Saheed had filed for divorce. Faithia and Saidi’s marriage came to an end on January 17, 2014, when Judge O.O. Atilade signed the divorce petition. The latter received permission to pay his children a visit at any time.
