Goodnews Emuemu, sometimes known as Gnewzy, is a Nigerian singer. His mother has pleaded with his kidnappers to let him go.
Following a concert, Gnewzy was kidnapped on Monday, April 29 in Ughelli, Delta state. The singer’s manager, Obas9ice, who managed to escape unharmed, told his record company that the gunmen were wearing police uniforms.

Since then, his kidnappers have been in touch with his record label and are requesting a $200,000 ransom to free him. If Gnewzy’s management called the police or gave less money as ransom, the kidnappers threatened to send Gnewzy’s severed head. They promised to mail the address where the ransom would be put in a letter within five days.
The singer is an only kid, so please let her go, the distressed mother begged in an emotive video that had her crying uncontrollably.
He is the only kid I have. With her hands on her head, she begged for him to be released.
