Nollywood Veteran actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu has shed more light on his recent family crisis after the couple trended on social media few weeks ago after the wife, Mrs Stella Okafor released a video online and suggesting that she is suffering from domestic violence. The couple who later got their marital issues settled with the intervention of popular Nigerian broadcaster, Daddy Freeze during his live Facebook session, revealed that the marriage started having flaws when Mr Ibu bought a car for his wife, Stella. Mr Ibu noted debunked the rumours that he didn’t legally married her and that’s what the wife is treating him like that.
Mr Ibu while further speaking about the issue on the live discussion said that when she married his wife, she didn’t have any car and her friends started mocking her that she’s married to a super star and she doesn’t have a car. Mr Ibu then bought three cars for his wife, one to be used for official outings like going to church, the second to be used for domestic outings, while the third to be used to go out with her friends. “My marriage started having problems since the day I surprised my wife with 3 cars as gift,” Mr Ibu revealed.
However, the wife started giving him issues and she started doing her things her ways because she started feeling like a big woman who has three cars to use and that attitude spoilt the sweetness in their marriage, Mr Ibu narrated. “The day I gave her those cars was when my problem started. I allowed her to do her things her own way. But, she started moving with different women; and sometimes, I hear them ask her why she is still in the marriage,” he added.
