Famous Nigerian food and lifestyle blogger, Yemisi Sophie Odusanya who’s best known as Sisi Yemmie have got fans reacting as she revealed that she wasn’t allowed to vote at her polling unit in Roman Catholic Church, Awoyaya, Lagos State.
Taken to social media, Sisi Yemmie stated that her polling unit was overwhelmed by alleged APC thugs who hindered them from voting because they look like Igbos.
In a video shared on her Twitter page, she could be heard explaining to the thugs that she’s a Lagosian and a Yoruba. However, the thugs told her that they would only let her vote if she would be voting for the APC.
While sharing the video, she wrote;
“My husband and I were not allowed to vote. They said we look like Igbo people. I can’t believe this. Roman Catholic Awoyaya.”
“I was born in Lagos, I am a Lagos woman. This is my “village” but I was not allowed to vote because I don’t look like Yoruba?”
