Former Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil has named Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema as the best No.9 of his generation.
Ozil said this as Benzema led Real Madrid to beat Barcelona 4-0 in the Copa del Rey semi-final second-leg tie on Wednesday at Camp Nou.
A goal from Vinicius and a hat-trick from Benzema ensured Real Madrid eliminated Barcelona from the Copa del Rey.
The match ended 4-1 aggregate as Los Blancos lost 1-0 in the reverse fixture at Santiago Bernabeu.
In a tweet via his Twitter handle, Ozil, who played alongside Benzema at Real Madrid, wrote: “THE KING. My Boy Benzi! The best No 9 of our generation. #HalaMadrid @Benzema @realmadrid.”
