I was recently asked by a friend which Nigerian artists I always hiss at whenever I hear their songs.
I thought about it for a moment, and the three artists that came to mind were Seyi Vibez, Naira Marley, and Portable.
I don’t mean to offend anyone who enjoys these artists, but I just can’t relate to their music. I don’t understand the lyrics, and I don’t find the beats to be very catchy. I also find the subject matter of some of their songs to be a bit too explicit for my taste.
Of course, music is subjective, and what I don’t like, someone else might love. That’s why I’m curious to know what other people think. Are there any Nigerian artists that make you hiss? If so, who are they and why?
