Erik ten Hag led Manchester United team were in action yesterday in the return leg of the UEFA Europa League quarter finals ties away from home against Spanish La Liga Santander giant, Sevilla at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
The Red Devils in the game were left disappointed as they fell to a disappointing and humiliating three nil defeat against the host of the night who progressed to the penultimate stage of the competition.
The six times UEFA Europa League winner were very incredible as they put up a good fighting spirit and were very resilient with their style of play which made them the better side in the thrilling encounter.
Manchester United in the game gave another shambolic performance as they yet again fell off the track by giving away two goals which got them inflicted in the whole 90 minutes duration.
This was another embarrassing night for the Red Devils which was a similar case in the first leg of the ties at the Old Trafford where they blew away a two goals lead, courtesy of two late own-goals scored by Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire which hanged the game on the balance going into the second leg.
An error in the back pass between Davide De Gea and Harry Maguire led to the first goal of the night which was converted by Youssef En Nesyri to make it one nil, before Loic Bade scored a brilliant header to get the lead doubled for the host to make it two goals to nil.
As if that was not enough, David De Gea also gave out the third goal while trying to make a control which was then directed at an opponent player, as Youssef En Nesyri completed his brace of the night which ended the game three massive goals to nil at full time and five goals to two on aggregate.
With the result of the night, Manchester United have made two errors directly leading to a goal against Sevilla, the second time they have committed more than one in a game this season (also versus Brentford in August 2022).
They will then be hoping to get their campaign back on track in the next game with every optimism to return to winning ways, as they continue their pursuit in the current season.
