Xavi Hernandez has cautioned the forthcoming Barcelona manager about the position’s challenges.
On Sunday, the 44-year-old defeated Sevilla 2-1 to take command of his final match.
Two days before the victory, Barca had declared that Xavu would be fired this summer.
It is anticipated that Hansi Flick, the Germán coach, will take Xavi’s place; his hiring is anticipated to happen soon.
When asked what advice he would give his successor, Xavi replied, “They have to know it is a difficult situation, because Barcelona is a difficult club, but also because of the adverse financial situation, above all [LaLiga’s] financial fair play rules.”
It won’t be at all simple. It’s an extremely hard task, so they will have to be patient and suffer. Whether they were at the club or not, winning is the only thing that may salvage them [in the past].
“Being a part of Barça’s greatest-ever era has caused me to be scrutinized closely and created certain expectations, which has worked against me.”
