German vocalist Kim Petras, who currently resides in the United States, has canceled all of her summer festival engagements.
The Grammy winner claimed that she followed medical advice when making her decision.
She did not identify the illness, only stating that she is “going through some health issues.”
She shared the following on her Instagram page on Wednesday: “I’m devastated to be writing this, but I’m going through some health issues and I had to make the difficult decision to not perform at festivals this summer under medical advice.”
“Back better than ever very soon,” the singer pledged.
Kim Petras was scheduled to play the Primavera Sound Festival in Spain on May 29, Mighty Hoopla in the UK on June 1, Primavera Sound Porto in Portugal on June 6, LadyLand in New York City on June 28, and Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle in July.
