While Arsenal have been leading the title race for much of the season, they were recently knocked off the top spot by Manchester City, who secured a vital win over Fulham after defeating the Gunners at the Etihad Stadium last week.
If Manchester City wins their game in hand, they can top the Premier League standings and overtake Arsenal. However, Chelsea can still affect the title race, as they have yet to play City, and a win for the Blues against City could benefit Arsenal’s title aspirations.
Kai Havertz expressed his desire to earn the fans’ support by winning the London derby against Arsenal in an interview with German outlet Kicker.
The Ex- Bayer Leverkusen Star said: “Especially because it’s a derby, you can hopefully get the supporters on your side again.
“We hope to tease the Gunners a little bit. They are in the title challenge now, which is where surely want themselves. And if you can defeat your opposition, that is always good for the faithfuls.”
