The body of sound engineer Precious Ofurum, who perished in the boat accident that also claimed the life of Nollywood actor Junior Pope, has been dug up and buried in Rivers State.
on a boat accident on April 10 on the River Niger, Asaba, Delta State, Precious, Junior Pope, and three other crew members perished.
They were in route to a filming site.
Because his family could not afford to take him back home after the accident, Precious was buried by the riverbed.
However, Precious’ mother begged Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara to help transport her son’s remains back to her home so that he may be buried honorably.
On the other hand, Movie Producer Stanley Nwoke posted a video on his Instagram page that appeared to show workers getting the late sound engineer’s remains ready for transportation to Rivers inside a white coffin.
The director reported that on Tuesday, the exhumation of Precious’s remains was seen by members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and Precious’ family.
Stanley also posted a different video of the sound engineer being buried in Rivers, the location of his birth.
