The first daughter of musician Innocent “2Baba” Idibia and his wife Annie Idibia, Isabella Idibia, has voiced her dissatisfaction with the public portrayal of her parents.
In a live stream, the girl responded to queries from her fan base. Many of the inquiries centered on her well-known parents.
A fan inquired about the fan’s feelings over the portrayal of her parents on the reality show “Young, Famous and African.”
The reality show presented Annie, a Nigerian actress, as a controlling spouse who bears the adultery of her unfaithful husband, 2Face Idibia. In front of Annie on the television, 2Face boldly said, “Men are wired to cheat.”
Isabella, 15, expressed her disapproval of the way her parents were portrayed to the public in her response to the episode.
She went on to say that the reality show’s portrayal of her parents was “so wrong.”
“I think it’s just so wrong how my parents were portrayed in Young, Famous and African,” Isabella stated.
“Everyone would say, ‘How would you know?’ whenever I tried to prove to my parents that it was not what happened. You remain a child at heart.
“How could you be certain? My family does not include you. What you see on social media is what forms the basis of your knowledge.
Since I’ve lived with my parents, I am aware of it.
“I can’t alter everyone’s viewpoint on social media because users will always think what other users want them to think. However, in all honesty, they would never be aware of the whole narrative behind everything that happened in my family or even before I was born.
“My parents weren’t given the best impression in Young, Famous, and African.”
