After a brief illness, Hon. Isa Dogonyaro, a member representing Jigawa State’s Babura/Garki Federal Constituency, passed away.
The House of Representatives’ spokesperson, Hon. Akin Rotimi, in Abuja, verified this in a statement.
The statement says, “We announce with great sadness the loss of Hon. Isa Dogonyaro (Kogunan Ringim), the esteemed member of the 10th Assembly of the House of Representatives who represented Jigawa State’s Babura/Garki Federal Constituency. Hon.
“Degonyaro died following a brief illness.”
“Hon. Isa Dogonyaro was a committed and passionate lawmaker who gave his all in serving the people and the country.
As the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Control, he was a cornerstone in the House, greatly influencing the creation of laws in these areas.
“Hon. Dogonyaro was acclaimed for his honesty, diligence, and steadfast commitment to the welfare of the Nigerian people when he was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
“The House of Representatives’ sacred chambers will truly miss his presence.
Honorable Isa Dogonyaro was a detribalized patriot who was as much of an intellectual as he was a cheerful person.
He forged close friendships with honorable members from across the nation. His wives and kids survive him.
Our condolences and prayers are with his family, Jigawa State residents, colleagues, and constituents during this difficult time. We offer prayers for courage and consolation to everyone grieving his loss.
