The former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, has come to light to have claimed that he would go into exile should Labour Party presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi receive a million votes.
This was revealed in a post on Monday on Sam Amadi’s X account, the director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts.
Amadi made her remarks after Obi visited Lamido, a well-known PDP member and governor from 2007 to 2015.
In response to the news, Amadi said that politics could be both morbid and humorous at the same time.
Politics may be both somber and funny, according to a former executive chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) who wrote on X. To this friendship, I raise a glass. I recall arguing that @PeterObi should be taken seriously because he has inspired the youth during the Atiku strategy session. Gov. Lamido bragged that he would go into exile if Peter received one million votes.
According to Rawloaded, Obi switched from the Peoples Democratic Party to the Labour Party prior to the 2023 election. Many analysts claimed that this change had an impact on the PDP’s performance in the race.
