According to seasoned Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor, often known as Mama G, one does not have to reside in Lagos or Abuja to be a famous.
The actress made the remark at a candlelight procession in Enugu in Madam Peace Anyiam-honor, Osigwe‘s the late CEO and founder of the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
She talked about how many musicians and actresses who gained recognition in Enugu ultimately relocated to Lagos and Abuja, adding, “But for me, I stated I was going to stay in Enugu, inside the village, and when I go to Lagos, I tell them I am a village woman.”
I live in Ngwo, in the Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, and God has shown me that you may become a star from anywhere. There is no need to visit Lagos or Abuja. If you are good enough, they will call you even from America.
