Today, April 16, 2024, is a double celebration for Nollywood actor Yomi Gold because it’s his daughter’s birthday as well.
He posted a heartwarming video of him and his daughter over the years on his Instagram page, highlighting the importance of being there for kids now and in the future.
As a father of three, he thanks God for allowing him to be a part of everything that his kids care about and prays for additional divine favor.
“When it comes to children, the past, present, and future are all important. Being able to spend every special moment with my children makes me feel blessed. This day is unique to us. Gratitude and blessings from Allah for everything.”
Yomi Gold made a formal announcement at the start of the previous year about his split from Meenah, his second wife, whom he had wed not long after divorcing his first wife of fifteen years.
Yomi Gold described his wife on his Instagram account as a kind person who deserved more than him. He said he was sorry for not being a better partner for her and that he thought she deserved someone better. So they made the decision to split up.
Yomi had faced other marriage difficulties before. He had a falling out with his first wife in 2018, who claimed he had abandoned her and their two kids in favor of Ameenat, a budding actress.
It’s interesting to note that Yomi shocked a lot of people the following year on International Women’s Day by recognizing his past spouses in public.
He promised his first wife that he would always be a loving father to their kids and that he would never waver in his dedication to them. He thanked her for her steadfast support and complimented her on being a real example of motherly love.
