As a broadcaster, one thing I learned from my early days is to be versatile, so I dabbled into current affairs, educative programming, and entertainment, so my area of expertise has quite a range. Though I pride myself a music head, I do a lot of puns and word plays as well, and having an idea of almost everything going on, because I mean that like was the standard, still is though.(Smiles)
* What motivates you?
Wanting to be better than who I was and who I am right now. I always say the beauty of us as humans is the ability to evolve, to do and be more extensively I love acquiring knowledge.
* Can you share an experience of a challenging project you successfully completed?
Some years ago, I was working at Space fm Ibadan then, and my General Manager called me into his office to discuss a new task I was to take on; it was a love show, and at that point, I hated anything that had to do with love because I had just gone through a messy break up and all, I rejected the program at first, protested; respectfully of course , but he told me if he didn’t think I could do it, he wouldn’t have offered me the show. So I took it, it was hard at first because there was also a similar show on one of the big radio stations in Ibadan airing the same time mine was.
So what I did was listen to the said show on the other radio station in between anchoring my own show one day, then evaluated it, what was the presenter not doing that I feel needed to be added to the show, so with the help of my late father, God rest his soul, I figured it out, and ran with it. At the end of the quarter, the show became the third most listened to show on the station as of the time and had a large listeners across. I felt fulfilled at the end.
* How do you handle stress and maintain a work-life balance
Honestly, sleeping. My day off, I always love to do nothing, and when I am not sleeping, I write, or read or both. As for work-life balance, that one is on God because it is hard!!! You know(Laughs)
