Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has condemned the killing of one Onyeka Ibe by policemen on duty alond the Ugbolu-Illah Road.
The Police Inspector, who allegedly shot the victim, was identified as Inspr. Ebri.
Okowa in a statement on Wednesday directed the police to launch a thorough investigation into the alleged killing by a member of the stop-and-search police team in the area.
The Governor urged residents to remain calm and not take the law into their hands.
While condoling with the family of the victim, Okowa disclosed that the police officer who allegedly shot the victim had been arrested and was being detained.
