Fidelis Ilechukwu, the technical adviser for the Rangers, has mobilized support for Finidi George, the recently named head coach of the Super Eagles.
According to Ilechukwu, Finidi’s accomplishments will improve the standing of regional coaches.
The youthful strategist also believed that the appointment is more evidence of the potential of native coaches to make adjustments to the Super Eagles.
The former MFM coach also voiced optimism about Finidi’s prospects for success in his current role.
“We are all praying for Finidi, and he needs to succeed because his appointment affects not just him but also the NPFL coaches,” he said to Football Temple.
“I don’t think we will have that kind of opportunity again as NPFL coaches, therefore if Finidi fails, the NPFL coaches have failed. For this reason, we are hoping for his success.
“He will have the support of all NPFL coaches because, in my opinion, he possesses all the necessary skills and abilities to be a successful coach with the Super Eagles.”
